Theoretical/Practical Course Program
Time: 9 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Registration of participants
The purpose of the 2-day treatment is to provide relief to all those in need of postural balance and should be preceded by this session.
The focus of the treatment is the longissimus muscle, the deep load-bearing muscle of the upright position.
In fact, its bilateral contraction contributes to the extension of the spine, neck, and head; its unilateral contraction, on the other hand, aids in ipsilateral lateral flexion of the spine, neck, and head, and ipsilateral rotation of the latter two.
9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Theory:
– The nervous system as the basis of the Braña Method, use of Braña glass rods
– Hints of anatomy/physiology of the central and peripheral nervous system
– Practical demonstration with Braña barycentric breathing and specific exercises
1:30-5:30 pm Practice:
– General stretching and relieving of daily tension with special reference to the longus muscle
– Assessment of stressor perceptions and their extent for preventive purposes for posture
– Chemeia phytocomplex application
